Almost no one enjoys working out. And, of course, after a surgery or fall, it can be painful and difficult. Understandably, patients need physical therapy to increase their range of motion, but it hurts! We understand, and we care.
Therapists who are skillful in their field know how to motivate their clients. To join our staff, one must first go through advanced training in different healing methods and therapies. Professionals at Arbors at Marietta really love what they do because a career in patient care here is not just a job. It's an honor to play such a vital role in changing the lives of patients and their families.
Because it is a crucial factor in our mission for our patients’ complete well-being, all residents are enrolled in our Physical Therapy program and make use of our Rehabilitation / Therapy Center. Before we begin, we custom-tailor a workout schedule that fits each person and their exact needs. In general, the goal of any physical therapy regime is to increase the range of function and muscle strength. Furthermore, seniors receive the added benefit of gaining back some pride in being able to do things for themselves. Because always asking for help can be so daunting, this gives our patients a new outlook on life.
Through sessions that increase balance while decreasing pain, goals become easier to reach. Also, specific exercise schedules that alternate with water and massage therapies create a more enjoyable and looked forward to workout session.
The mind-body connection to wellness is what gets our award-winning program the results our patients receive.
In summary, we at Arbors at Marietta are on a constant mission to improve the health and fitness of our patients. We are always searching for new techniques to add to our Physical Therapy program. Come and see firsthand how the right tools and support system from a well-trained and caring team turns lives all the way around!
